This fantastic product makes your Portacool evaporative cooler perform even more efficiently, especially if you are in an area of the country where mineral buildup may be a problem. This treatment helps keep minerals under control by changing the ionic structure of the mineral particles, making it less likely that they will detach from your water source and form buildup on the cooling pads, motor, pump, and inside the water reservoir. Each box contains 4 strips and each strip lasts about 30 days or until the water reservoir is drained for cleaning. Place one water treatment strip in the water reservoir of your Portacool model and leave the knit enclosure intact. Remove the strip when your water reservoir is drained for cleaning, usually about every 2 - 4 weeks, depending on the amount of use.

The FLOAT SWITCH-KIT is an automatic pump shutoff that fits into the bottom of the water reservoir of your 24", Jetstream™ 1600, Jetstream™ 2400, 36" or 48" Portacool model to avoid the pump from running if the unit runs out of water. The pumps in all Portacool models are water cooled and can be damaged if they are operated without water in the reservoir. Each time the pump runs without water it adds stress and over heating of the pump motor causing the pump damage and early replacement. This easy to install solution will avoid problems if you forget to turn on your water hose for the day. It fits in the bottom of your water reservoir and connects between the pump and the power supply. Note: All new Portacool Hurricane™ and Portacool Jetstream™ models have an automatic pump shutoff device installed. Weight: 1.5 lbs.
